Joness: Facing the Inner Wolf
To kick off the second season of the Mind the Method series, we have Taylor Jones, who also goes by Joness. She’s a one of a kind artist that seamlessly blends together the elements of R&B and Hip Hop into her own unique style of expression. Joness may not be a Cincinnati native but the size of her impact in the community is no less than phenomenal. Her ability to work a full time job as an engineer while pursuing her dreams as an artist is a feat that makes her journey a memorable and inspirational one.
Joness isn’t afraid to admit that she’s still a work in progress. She recognizes both the light and darkness in herself, and knows the importance of having self awareness and self control. Her music is her release and also her way of letting others know that they are seen, they are heard, and they are not alone.
She may not have reached her personal peak, but she knows her journey is nowhere near over. Embracing the highs and lows in her life is what keeps her raw, and her message hits harder because it comes from her soul. Joness shows us that you shouldn’t be afraid to be honest with yourself. Vulnerability doesn’t make you weak, it just makes you human.
